Pricing

Advertised Prices

Prices and products are subject to availability and may change – check the website for the most up – to - date prices. If we have had to adjust our prices we will contact you before shipping to check if you wish to proceed.

Payment of Goods

Your card will not be charged until the items are ready to ship.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Solo, and Switch/Maestro. We do not accept payment by Visa Electron. Your credit card company will covert charges to your national currency.
If an item is not available we will contact you to discuss alternatives.

Shipping

If you are a new customer goods can only be sent to the address the payment card is registered to so as to avoid fraud, this is the policy of our merchant service provider. For repeat orders we may be able to ship to an alternate address.

Tax Charges

For orders delivered within the UK or the European Union, VAT must be paid. Orders outside the EU are exempt; please indicate this on your order if you are outside the EU.

Postage, Packaging and Handling Charges

At present we are unable to calculate postal costs online. We manually calculate the cost of postage for each order.
Minimum postal charges for delivery within the UK Mainland are as follows:
Small Packets/parcels £4.50 Royal Mail recorded delivery (UK only), Medium Size Packets/parcels £6.50
Large Packets/parcels i.e. model kits etc, sent by Courier (next day delivery) are typically £9.00 - £19.00 for Northern Ireland, £18 for Isle of Wight, £18 for Isle of Man. Remote area surcharges may apply.

Order Processing

Additions to Orders

As we begin processing your order immediately, it may not always be possible to amend or add to the order. Should you wish to add other items you will need to place a separate new order, and upon receipt of which we will endeavour to add it to your existing order if possible? This can only occur providing the original order has not already been processed. If you wish to cancel a recently placed order please telephone our web order team on 020 7609 7700. International callers call 0044 7609 7700 or e-mail us at admin@308hobbies.com. Our opening times are 9am to 6pm GMT, Tuesday – Friday.

Postal Losses

If items are lost or damaged on their way to you, we must await confirmation from the courier or postal service used that the parcel was lost or damaged before we can resend items.

Delivery Schedule

Most orders received by 12 noon are despatched the same day; however delivery times can vary depending on stock availability and demand for our services. We always process orders as quickly as is possible.
All parcels we dispatch require a signature as proof of delivery. In the event where our carriers have left a card stating that a delivery has been attempted, you must act upon this card information and contact the carriers direct to arrange another delivery time as soon as possible. Failure to do this will result in the parcel being returned to 308 Hobbies which will incur extra charges.

Please allow 72 hours before contacting us to advise that an order has not been received. We will be able to supply a tracking number to ascertain the current delivery schedule. Privacy Policy

Your name, address and contact details will be passed to the postal service used to deliver your goods as required. We will not pass your details to any other organizations. Nor will we send you advertising material without your consent. Cookies are used on this website only to keep track of what you have added to shopping basket.

Please ensure that the details you give us are accurate and include the correct post code otherwise we cannot be held responsible for delayed or missing items.


Returns Policy

Cancelling (within the EU)

You have the right to cancel within 7 working days after you take receipt providing that you contact us within this time to notify us of the return. All goods received and wishing to be return must be unopened, unused and in there original packaging. You are required to take good care of the goods and return them to us at your own cost within 30 days. A 10% cost will be subtracted for restocking correctly supplied items. We will not accept tampered with or used items for a refund.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

Faulty Goods

No items will be replaced or refunded without first receiving the goods back in good condition.
If goods are returned with a fault, they will be sent back to the supplier. We will wait for the supplier’s decision regarding the item before replacing or refunding the goods. If the supplier decides the item has been damaged by the customer, no refund or replacement will be given.

Damaged Goods and Returns

It is the customers responsibility to carefully check that all merchandise received is undamaged and in good working condition.
If you are returning items to us and they are lost by the postal service you use, we do not accept any responsibility. It is your responsibility to ensure goods are returned to us in the condition in which they were received.

If you are going to return an item please send it recorded to cover the cost of the item if it goes missing.

Any claims in respect of damage, shortage or manufacturing faults must be made in writing to 308 Hobbies, 308 Holloway Road, Islington, London, UK, N7 6NP, or by telephone to 020 7609 7700 within 3 days of receipt of merchandise.
Shipping and packaging charges for returning merchandise will not be borne by us, unless prior authorisation has been obtained. Any charges incurred by us may result in being billed back to sender unless other prior arrangements are made.
Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with apparent shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, please call us on Tel: 020 7609 7700 immediately. Save all packaging material and paperwork; do not throw anything away! On some occasions the couriers have asked to see any damaged packaging.

Incorrectly Ordered

 Items

If you order an item in error, only the price of the returned goods will be refunded. Postage will not be refunded. We will not accept back items that are not in there original packaging unopened as-new condition.
It is not impossible for our staff to make a mistake and send you the wrong item, we apologies if this rare occurrence happens. If this is the case then please contact us to let us know what has happened and return the item as soon as possible. We will not dispatch replacements to you with out the incorrect item being returned to us. This is to protect ourselves and our customers from prices increases.
